If you have ever parked your Tesla in tight spots and had to perform weird acrobatics to get back in your vehicle, you are not alone. That is because Tesla’s windows are curved in, making the entrance difficult.

With update 5.9.1, we introduced the Auto Window Drop automation - a feature designed to make those cramped parking situations much more manageable.

To see in action, check the video below:

How It Works

When you enable this automation, your Tesla’s window will automatically roll all the way down every time you open the door. Once the door is closed, the window seamlessly rolls back up.

Why does this matter? Tesla’s glass is designed with a subtle inward curve, which can slightly restrict the entry space. By dropping the window, you instantly gain a few extra inches of clearance - making it noticeably easier to enter or exit your vehicle in tight spots.

This feature is especially handy when you park in a narrow garage, you are sandwiched between two vehicles in a crowded lot, or you simply want a smoother, more comfortable entry and exit experience.

To activate this feature, open the S3XY app and head over to the Commander tab. Enable the Auto Window Drop feature.

That’s it - now you can enjoy a hassle-free entry every time you step into your Tesla, no matter how tight the space.
