If you like listening to loud music while driving your Tesla, and if you forget to lower the volume before exiting, you may get startled by the blast that catches you early in the morning when you want to re-enter your vehicle. That’s because Tesla remembers your volume levels before you exit your car.

For this issue, we came up with an automation that resolves it for you. It’s called Volume on Exit, and if you want to see how it action, check the video below:

How Does It Work?

It’s pretty simple. You can preset the volume levels your car will return to every time you re-enter. Simply open the Commander tab in the S3XY App, where all of our automations are located, scroll down until you see Volume On Exit. Then enable the toggle and set the value you want.

Please note that in order for this feature to work seamlessly, you need to pair the Commander with your car. To do so, simply follow these steps:

1. Inside the S3XY App, go to the Commander tab and press the button on top that says “Pair with the Car”.
2. The page that will open describes in detail what this process is all about, as well as what the benefits are. Once you read through it, press the “Get Started” button.
3. Take your Key Card and put it in its designated spot (either under the Main Screen or on the central console just below the armrest). Then press “Next” inside the App.
4. Go to Locks on your Main Screen and find the newly-added key, labeled as “Unknown Key”. Rename it however you want and press “Save”.

You should be ready to go. If you prefer a visual tutorial, click on the link below:

Now that you have everything set, give this feature a try and start your mornings stress-free.
