Update 6.4 is our first major update for 2026 and includes a wide range of new functions that we believe all Tesla owners will enjoy. Some of them were highly requested by our fantastic community, some of them are just neat and cool.

In this article, we are going to unravel it all, and if you want to see the new features in action, make sure to check the video on our YouTube channel:

New Commander Automations

Actions on Reverse

This first automation allows you to execute action once you put your car into Reverse:

For example, when reversing in a dark area, you can activate your fog lights to improve visibility. At the same time, you can enable dynamic brake lights, which flash your taillights multiple times to alert pedestrians and nearby drivers.

You can also automatically disable the dimming of your side mirrors - a feature that Tesla introduced in the Highland and Juniper models. To ensure everyone can benefit from it, we’ve also made it available for legacy models.

We have also added something special for the Model 3 / Y vehicles that are built after 2020. A feature that has been highly requested by our amazing community, called Mute On Reverse. This feature silences all chimes, alerts, and notifications in your car, including incoming calls, and even the UFO-like sound when you park your vehicle. Like we have already mentioned, unfortunately, this feature will not work on pre-2020 models and the Model 3 Highland.

New Ambient Light Effects

For Highland and Juniper models equipped with built-in RGB ambient lighting, we’ve added a new animation alert that signals an open door by making the corresponding section of the interior light pulse in a preselected color.

New S3XY Strip Features

Strip Edges

This one is another popular demand by our users and it allows you to set your turn signal indications and blind spot warnings to flash only at the edges of the Strip. You can even adjust the number of the diodes.

We also added something a bit more nostalgic which we believe you will love - a brand new KITT Knight Rider animation that you have as default.

Night Mode

Some users have mentioned that the S3XY Strip can be too bright at dusk or during nighttime driving, sometimes causing glare on the windshield and windows. To address this, we introduced a dedicated Night Mode that automatically adjusts brightness levels.

This feature is synchronized with your Tesla’s clock and works alongside the vehicle’s display. When the screen switches to dark mode at sunset, the Strip dims accordingly. As daylight returns and the display switches back to light mode, the Strip automatically increases its brightness to match.

New Actions

Of course, we can’t forget about the S3XY Buttons and Knob. We added several new actions into our ever-expanding library, all thanks to the suggestions of our community.

We believe the owners of Performance Models 3 / Y will be very pleased with the first set of actions which allows you to tweak the handling and stability controls through our products whenever your car is in Track Mode, instead of fumbling through the screen. You can also control the Adaptive Damping of the suspension system by switching between three states - Comfort, Sport, or Track Mode.

And if you own the new Model Y Juniper Performance you can activate the Track Mode feature through our products, even though it is absent from the car’s settings. Keep in mind that you won’t see it visualized on the Tesla’s Main Screen, but you can still monitor and adjust the setting through the S3XY App.

Extra Improvements

- S3XY Dash now has a light theme which makes a huge difference during daytime drives, since completely removes the reflections and the glare.

- The Actions Upon Approach is an automation which executes actions when you return to your Tesla in a certain timeframe (opening the trunk / frunk, driver’s door, charge port, etc.). Previously, it required Keep Climate On mode to prevent the car and the Commander from falling asleep. But now that’s no longer necessary as long as Sentry Mode is enabled.

- You can now monitor your brake temperatures on each wheel through the S3XY App - a car data that is not available on the Tesla’s Main Screen.

- You can assign a custom page on the S3XY Knob that automatically activates when you engage Autopilot. It bundles together all the actions you use during your autonomous or autosteer drives.
